Nurse Practitioner
Carter Hunter, CPNP, is a board certified pediatric nurse practitioner who has been with the Commonwealth Pediatrics team since 2020. Carter’s journey in healthcare began with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Virginia, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Emory University. Carter’s commitment to excellence has been recognized with honors and awards, including the prestigious Emory Robert W. Woodruff Scholarship and the Hannah Gerloff and Johnny Callan Compassion Scholarship Reward.
Carter’s heart lies in pediatric care, and she loves children for their resilience and candidness. Some of Carter’s favorite parts about her job are watching children grow and helping families achieve happiness and health.
When she is not working, Carter enjoys the simple pleasures of life, from walking her dogs to pursuing hobbies like painting, biking, and hiking. Richmond, Carter’s hometown, holds a special place in their heart, offering the best of both worlds—a big city with a small-town feel and easy access to nature and urban adventures.
