We are thrilled to announce the newest addition to the Commonwealth Pediatrics family: Sethelle Flowers, MD, who joined our team as a pediatrician in 2023. Originally from Jackson, Mississippi, Dr. Flowers brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for pediatric care to our practice.
Educational Excellence
Dr. Flowers’ academic journey began when she earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Classics from the University of Mississippi, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She pursued her medical degree at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, followed by a residency at the renowned Holtz Children’s Hospital at the University of Miami.
A Heart For Pediatrics
Choosing pediatrics was a natural fit for Dr. Flowers, as she was driven by the unique opportunity it provides to care for patients from birth to young adulthood. Her approach to pediatric care is characterized by a focus on:

Beyond The Office
In her free time, Dr. Flowers enjoys the great outdoors and participates in hiking, biking and rock climbing. She finds joy in cooking and is also an avid reader. When it comes to her family, she cherishes her time spent with her three nephews.
She embraces the Richmond area. She enjoys the city’s natural beauty, especially the scenic James River, and appreciates how close Richmond is to beautiful national parks. When it comes to Commonwealth Pediatrics, she looks forward to caring for families in the Richmond area.
