Dr. Jennifer Domer, MD, FAAP, brings her dedicated and compassionate approach to pediatric care as a valued board certified pediatrician at Commonwealth Pediatrics since 1999. Her academic journey includes a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the College of William and Mary in 1992, followed by a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1996. Dr. Domer deepened her expertise through a pediatric residency at the University of Virginia from 1996 to 1999.
Her focus in pediatrics encompasses general pediatric care with a specific emphasis on vaccines. Interestingly, her path to pediatrics was initially unexpected, as she had considered pursuing a career in veterinary medicine. However, a transformative experience working with children facing physical and mental challenges during a summer became the turning point, solidifying her passion for pediatric medicine. Dr. Domer finds immense joy in witnessing the growth and development of children from infancy to their individuality, all the while offering vital guidance and support.
Beyond her medical practice, Dr. Domer revels in hobbies such as reading, caring for her cats, nurturing her garden and raising chickens. Her cherished moments are spent with her husband and son. A native of Nokesville, VA, she finds fulfillment in the balanced lifestyle the area provides, offering the conveniences of a city without the hectic pace.
