Kari Gilliam, MD, is an experienced, board certified pediatrician who has been with Commonwealth Pediatrics since 1995. Dr. Gilliam completed her undergraduate studies at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Medicine from Case Western Reserve University’s School of Medicine, followed by her internship and residency at the University of Virginia.
Dr. Gilliam has always enjoyed working with children, witnessing their growth and development and later seeing them become parents themselves.
Beyond her medical career, Dr. Gilliam is a passionate Disney enthusiast, often traveling to Disney parks in California and Florida. She also has a deep appreciation for history, particularly World War I and World War II, which she studied as a history major in college. Her love for reading, photography and creating photo books provides her with stress relief and creative fulfillment. Dr. Gilliam is the youngest of four siblings and is happily married to a retired art teacher. While they have no children of their own, they cherish the hundreds of children they’ve had the privilege to care for in their roles. Dr. Gilliam’s commitment to excellence is reflected in her dedication to her patients, and striving to provide the best possible care.
