Keatrina Springer, CPNP, is a board certified pediatric nurse practitioner who joined Commonwealth Pediatrics in 2018. Keatrina’s journey in healthcare began with her Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from J. Sargent Reynolds Community College, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Keatrina has always wanted to be a pediatric nurse practitioner. As a child, she visited the Pediatric Unit at VCU and told her mother that she was going to become a nurse on that floor one day. This dream came to fruition, as Keatrina’s first job as a registered nurse was with that very unit.
Keatrina’s favorite part of her job is working with families and witnessing the growth and development of children. She delights in hearing their stories and the curiosity and excitement that kids bring to every visit. Keatrina wants her patients to know that she genuinely cares about them and their families. She understands that children may be apprehensive during medical visits and strives to create a comforting and friendly environment for them.
Outside of work, Keatrina loves spending time with her son and extended family. Her upbringing in Powhatan, VA, instilled in her an appreciation for the beauty of Virginia, including its diverse scenery and proximity to the beach, mountains and Washington, DC.
