Meet Molly Saunders, PNP, a board certified pediatric nurse practitioner who joined Commonwealth Pediatrics in 2023. Molly earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise with a minor in Psychology from Virginia Tech. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University, and later her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Virginia.

Molly’s journey began at the bedside as a registered nurse in the Pediatric ICU at VCU, where she honed her skills and gained valuable experience over nine years. She further expanded her expertise as a pediatric nurse practitioner at KidMed Urgent Care for a year. With a focus on evidence-based medicine, Molly is committed to providing the best possible care to her patients. Her favorite part of her job is the continuity of care, watching her patients thrive, and offering guidance and real-life advice to families.
Outside of work, Molly cherishes time with her family, including her husband, daughter and dog. Whether they’re enjoying outdoor activities, visiting wineries and breweries, or attending country concerts, they make the most of their time together.
